Chapter 41 - Invitation

"Harry, cheer up, it's almost Christmas!" Mei told him as she joined him, by sitting beside him.

"How can I be cheerful, when something is going on Draco! You're his sister and you don't know what's going on with him!" He yelled.

Mei pouted, "Well, I'm his adoptive sister, and all I know, is that he changed after the first visit from his mother." 

Harry sighed, "Mei, you don't think he will become a Death Eater? I mean I heard Snape offer to help Draco, but he refused." 

"Why do you say that!?" Mei asked, laughing, "Draco is one of the nicest person I ever met! He will not join Voldemort. I mean, Snape could have been asking if Draco needed help on homework," Looks from Gryffindors headed her way, after saying his name.

Harry put one finger over his lips, telling her to be quiet, "Lucius went to Azkaban, someone needs to fill his Death Eater spot and Snape used to be a Death Eater."

Mei flicked his head, "You're just going crazy, I bet Draco is just having a hard time being away from his family, and Snape was a double-agent. So, just listen to me, Draco is alright." She flashed her famous smile, as Harry nodded, forgetting what he just said.

"What!?" Mei yelled, as she and Draco went on the train, "You're staying with your mother! Draco, Bellatrix might there! You are in danger if you go there." 

Draco retorted, "Well, you were going to spend your time with Cedric, so let me spend time with my mom!" 

"Draco, it is dangerous." Harry declared, as he joined the two.

"You two are just being ridiculous, I'm spending time with my mom not some death eaters." He scoffed.

Mei looked ever more worried as, he again stood up, reaching for his trunk at the top, "I will be staying with Crabbe and Goyle, if you need me."

"But-"

"But what?" Draco asked, interrupting Mei, "They are my friends."

"Their parents are death eaters!" Draco looked at Harry and Mei in disgust, for the fist time in years.

He opened the door, where Hermione and Ron stood, "I can't believe you two can't trust me!" 

As he left, Mei hugged Harry. She couldn't believe that Draco would talk to her like that. They used to be best-friends and she regret telling Harry last night that he wasn't going to the Dark Lord. Harry looked worried and so did Mei, which Hermione and Ron obviously could tell.

"I bet it's just the stress of school going on him. I heard he didn't hand in two Transfiguration homework, and got detention." Hermione said, trying to cheer him up.

Mei, who was almost into tears, "I don't think so. I'm afraid that he has joined Voldemort."

"Bye Mei." Draco's ,other told her as, he left the station with her. 

She looked so calm and happy, but the fear of Death Eaters at the Malfoy Manor. Mei wiped her eyes, which were again forming tears. 
"Babe, what's wrong?" Cedric asked, as he came back with her trunk. 

"Nothing." She lied as, they headed to the exit. 

Cedric shrugged as, he pushed the trolley. Grabbing her hand, and the bags, they hid in a spot where they couldn't be seen. Cedric had already told her, that they were not using a car to get home, so Mei held tightly his hand. In mere minutes they apparated and, Mei was in the Cedric's comfortable home.

"I haven't been here in so long! It's just like it was before." she slumped in one of the coaches as, she saw pictures of Cedric and his family moving around on the walls.

There was great laugh and slamming coming from the door, "Cedric is she here?" Amos Diggory, Cedric's father came in and smiled as he saw Mei, "Oh, Mei! good to see you!" He hugged and after ruffling her hair, "I saw the Weasleys and Potter at the Burrow, so I knew you would be here." 

"Nice to meet you to, how is it going with the ministry?" She asked as Cedric, sat beside her.

"Same as always. More news about the Drak Lord." Mei nodded, smiling, not really listening how he went on and on, about his new project.

Finally, after a knock on the door, interrupted him. Mei was much relieved, but soon was tense after Arthur Weasley came in through the door. The men, headed into the kitchen, discussing something that Cedric and Mei could not hear.

"What is he doing here?" Mei asked.

Cedric shrugged, "Inviting us for dinner. They do that usually. Once, he said that Arthur and Amos came out of the kitchen.

"Well, see you three tonight, then!" He closed the door, as Mei looked at Cedric, shocked.

"When he mean you three-" 

Amos interrupted her, "Of course he means, Cedric, myself, and you."

"Oh, no." Mei groaned.
